The Service Design Network (SDN) is service design’s professional organization that has chapters around the world and hosts the Global Service Design Conference.
I’ve been president of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Service Design Network club in 2020 and 2021, leading a team of 8 awesome BFA/MFA students to host professional events on behalf of the university.
We’ve hosted 10 panel discussions with 37 industry professionals, co-hosted events with SDN NYC and SDN DC chapters, and collaborated on research and event design for The SDN’s Service Design Global Conference in 2020 and 2021.
Community building, leadership, project management, event design
Longterm relationships formed through collaboration with clients, coworkers, and professors have been one of the most meaningful parts of my career.
Rapport and collaboration transforms a job into a purpose.
Community is one of my core values. I actualize this value through dedication and care for my teams.

I find my role is designing an organization that empowers busy students with an easy and effective avenue for professional growth.
This means designing processes to keep everyone on the same page, forming action plans that produce sound results, and spread work across the team. It’s finding sparks in others and turning them into action through the right mix of formality, flexibility, ownership, and accountability.
Strong leadership and management ability is invaluable to having positive impacts on society, and an area I am always looking to grow.

“at the end of our career, we want to look back and feel like we’ve made a difference.
...your work isn’t going to be remembered. Your impact on people is what is going to be remembered...
Your legacy is going to be how you treated your team.”
